About this villa
Villa Azure at Portinatx
A villa for rent close to Portinatx, at the far northern tip of the island in the municipality of Sant Joan de Labritja, with a heated infinity pool, direct access to two cove beaches and a private forest of aromatic pines all around. The estate covers 116,425 m2 of land, some 30 acres of privately owned pine woodland, and from the top of the hill the views over the Mediterranean open to the west. The 522 m2 built are divided between two houses joined by a paved courtyard, plus separate staff accommodation of 100.3 m2. Originally built in 1970, the property has since been through major construction and improvement and is now a substantial coastal residence, in good condition, with its energy certificate in process.
Two houses and a forest
Between the two houses there are 7 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms, arranged mainly over two floors. The first house, designed by the architect Rolf Blakstad, has large balconies looking out to sea, sabina wood ceilings and a striking living area with a fireplace; the second is an 800 year old finca that keeps beautiful original features inside and a terrace with sea views. The finca style, the stone walls and the laundry room sit alongside a fitted kitchen, air conditioning, internet, an alarm, an access control system and a video entry system. Outside, the large heated infinity pool, the extensive gardens, the landscaped patios, the outdoor dining areas and the children's area fill the grounds, and two cove beaches are reached on foot from the property.
Portinatx and the terms
The north of Ibiza is the wildest and quietest part of the island, and Portinatx, with its sheltered coves, lies close to the house. The property is suitable for retreats and is much in demand for family holidays, bespoke weddings, events and photo shoots. It holds a full touristic rental licence, number ETV-2167-E, and is available to rent all year round, with the rate quoted by the week. A housekeeper is on site 365 days a year.
