A 250 year old finca
A finca for holiday rent in Santa Gertrudis, in the municipality of Santa Eulària des Riu, more than 250 years old, with a separate guest house in an old tower and a saltwater pool. Can Daphne was completely renovated over 2018 and 2019, with a nod to the celebrated Blakstad style fincas combined with a character of its own, and everything in it is new: rooms, bathrooms, kitchens, floors and terraces. The house stands at the end of a winding lane, so there is no passing traffic and privacy is complete. Between the main house and the tower there are 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms, sleeping 8 in the main house and two more in the guest house.
Inside and at leisure
You enter the main house from the garden, into a beautiful open, fully equipped kitchen, with a very welcoming living room beside it and, next to that, a second lounge with a billiard table. The ground floor holds two bedrooms: one with an en suite shower room, while the bathroom serving the second, also with a shower, sits off the living room and doubles as a guest cloakroom. A remarkable spiral staircase climbs to the first floor and the master bedroom, which has a bath and shower on its private terrace and a second bathroom with bathtub and shower off the hallway; the other bedroom on this floor has an en suite shower room. The guest house occupies the tower and adds a sitting room and a small open kitchen with a washing machine, while the main house has a laundry room for guests to use, air conditioning in most rooms and the latest sound and internet equipment.
Santa Gertrudis and around
Outdoor life turns around the salt electrolysis pool of 5 x 10 metres, with child safe terraces around it, a chill out corner with a fully equipped outdoor kitchen, a yoga terrace and a play area with a trampoline and table tennis. Several large terraces spread out different dining areas and places to sit, all of them looking over idyllic views across the valleys, where a wide variety of fruit trees grows. The artistic and increasingly sought after village of Santa Gertrudis is four minutes away by car, the airport twenty, and ten minutes bring you to Ibiza town or to some of the best known beaches and beach clubs. The finca is let for holiday stays under its touristic licence, fully furnished and equipped, and the energy certificate is in progress.
