Can Cooko is a villa for rent in Sant Josep de sa Talaia, set on a private plot with magnificent views towards the island of sa Conillera and the Mediterranean beyond. The plot runs to 2,500 m², with a security gate and on-site parking for 3 cars. You come in straight into the main living room, and the countryside and the sea are there from the moment you arrive.
Inside and out
The living room holds comfortable sofas, a flat screen television with satellite and an indoor dining table, with two sets of patio doors, one opening to the main pool area and the other to the side breakfast terrace. The kitchen sits behind a breakfast bar and is well equipped with dishwasher, fridge freezer, ceramic hob, oven, microwave and coffee machine, backed by a utility and pantry area with an iron and ironing board. Along the corridor are two bedrooms with twin beds sharing a bathroom, and at the end the master with a king size bed and its own en suite; both bathrooms have a bath, a shower, a WC and a bidet. Every bedroom has air conditioning, available with a supplement payable on arrival, and generous wardrobe space, and the finish is a high standard throughout with solid wood furniture. Outside, the pool terrace takes sun all day and the pool measures 9 by 4.2 metres, two metres at the deep end with a shallow step to sit on at the entry. The low-maintenance cactus garden holds several chill out and dining spots, including a barbecue with an outdoor sink, while the large roof terrace, laid with artificial grass and furnished for lounging, is the best place to watch the light go over sa Conillera.
Beaches and countryside
The setting is open countryside with houses set well apart, restaurants and local bars a short distance away and the beach at Port des Torrent a 20 to 25 minute walk. Cala Bassa, Cala Comte and Cala Tarida, three of the best coves on the island, are all a short drive. The house sleeps 6 comfortably in its 3 bedrooms; for a group of 7 or 8, an extra bed can be added in the master suite and the sofa bed in the living room used. It is let furnished and equipped, with a touristic rental licence, and the energy performance certificate is in progress.
