A family house
A villa for holiday rent in Sant Antoni de Portmany, with a huge pool, views over the bay and its own parking inside the grounds. Can Carva is furnished in a traditional Spanish style that gives it a homely, welcoming feel throughout, and the bright, spacious living room has a traditional fireplace and comfortable sofas to sink into after a busy day out on the island. Beyond it lies the conservatory, turned into a games room, with further dining areas and a billiard table. The house also has satellite television with UK Freeview and a collection of DVDs for all ages, and its condition is excellent.
The layout
The ground floor holds a large dining room and a recently renovated kitchen fitted with oven, dishwasher, microwave and every modern appliance. On the same level is the first bedroom, with three single beds that can be made up as a double and a single, and an adjacent bathroom with a modern shower cabin. On the first floor, the second and third bedrooms each have two single beds convertible into doubles and their own direct access to the private terrace that wraps around the villa, and they share a modern bathroom with shower and wc. The master bedroom is completed by a large king size bed, a dressing room and private terrace access, while on the top floor a large lounge converts into the fifth bedroom thanks to concertina doors that close when privacy is wanted and stay open when families with children are staying. In all there are 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, with air conditioning in every bedroom except the top floor lounge, which opens onto an enormous chill out terrace looking over the bay.
Outside and the bay
The outdoor space is generous, with lush green lawns and palm trees that give it a tropical air. The huge pool is surrounded by a paved terrace and a cabana that provides welcome shade, while the outdoor dining area, built around a large circular stone table, is the natural place to entertain friends and family. The pool area can be closed off when needed, a real advantage with small children, and an outdoor laundry with washing machine, dryer and household equipment has its own shower and wc, ideal on the way back from the water. Inside the grounds there is parking for up to three cars, with plenty of room on the road outside should you need more. The villa is let for holiday stays under its touristic rental licence, fully furnished, and the energy certificate is in progress.
