Es Vedrà

Es Vedrà is the dramatic rock island rising out of the sea off the southwest coast and remains one of the most photographed sights on all of Ibiza. Legends and stories have long surrounded the island adding to its mystique. The best views come from Cala d'Hort beach directly across the water or from the Torre des Savinar watchtower on the clifftop above. Both spots draw crowds at sunset when the rock catches the last light of the day. Boat trips also run close to the island itself for a different perspective although landing is restricted. Photographers in particular plan visits around sunset for the strongest light on the water. For anyone buying property in the south of Ibiza a sea view toward Es Vedrà remains one of the most sought after outlooks on the island.
