Beaches & Calas
Cala d'en Serra
Portinatx · North Ibiza

Place overview
Cala d'en Serra is a narrow inlet wrapped in pine trees right at the top of Ibiza. There is no beach bar here and barely any sand which keeps the crowds thinner than almost anywhere else on the north coast. What draws people instead is the water itself. Sheltered by cliffs on both sides the cove stays calm and glassy even on days when the open sea nearby is choppy. Divers and snorkellers favour it for exactly this reason. A short walk down from the small car park passes an old fisherman's hut before reaching the water. There is little shade so most visitors bring their own umbrella along with food and drink for the day since nothing is sold on site. Cala d'en Serra rewards those who plan ahead and stay through the afternoon. Arrive at midday among the day trippers and leave once the light softens and the cove empties out again.
