Es Portitxol
Sant Miquel · North Ibiza

Place overview
Es Portitxol is a small pebble cove tucked beneath the cliffs near Sant Miquel on the north coast. Very few visitors make the walk down to it which keeps the water clear and the setting close to untouched even in peak season. There are no facilities here and no shade beyond what the rock itself provides. Anyone visiting needs to bring their own water food and something to sit on since nothing is available on site. The reward for the walk is a beach that still feels genuinely quiet even in August when almost everywhere else on the island is full. Snorkelling around the rocks at either end is good enough to make the trip worthwhile on its own. This is a beach for people who already know the north coast well rather than a first stop for visitors. If Benirràs feels too busy on a given day Es Portitxol is usually the answer.
