Hacienda Na Xamena is built directly into the cliffs above Sant Miquel with a view that stretches across the entire northern coastline of Ibiza. It opened as one of the first true luxury hotels on this side of the island and still sets the standard for the area today. Several pools step down the rock face toward the sea giving nearly every room its own private angle on the water. Rooms and suites are carved into the cliff itself rather than built on top of it which is part of what makes the hotel so distinctive. Sunset from the main terrace is one of the most photographed views in the north of Ibiza with the sky and sea often blending into the same colour by the time the sun disappears. The hotel has become something of a landmark for the whole area and a useful reference point for anyone exploring what the north coast has to offer beyond its beaches.
